assignment
Over the past three years, we've worked on over 150 projects for Foot Locker EMEA, each one taken care of with our teams dedication and expertise. From relocations to expansions, from remodels to refreshments, and from small changes to entire more storey buildings, we've left our mark. This was essential of Foot Locker's European presence.
In the heart of historical Amsterdam, lies a new chapter for Amsterdam Foot Locker retail. Nieuwendijk is a relocation and a transformative store in the Foot Locker retail design landscape.
As Lead Architect and Local Architect, we undertook the responsibility of taking care of the architectural engineering role.

our approach
Relocate
Nestled within the bustling Nieuwendijk, this 550 m² store on the ground floor is an experience. Moving from one end of the street to the other may seem like a simple shift, but for Foot Locker, it's a leap towards a larger store, better accessibility, heightened visibility, and enhanced customer engagement.
New concept
This project started off with surveys and feasibility studies, laying the groundwork for a seamless transition. From there, the design phase unfolded, a nice transition of implementing the new concept. We developed renderings as visualizations, as previews of what was yet to come. Construction drawings provided the preview.
As Local Architects, we navigated the challenges of M&E, secured approvals from landlords and town halls, and devised fire strategies and energy reports. Every detail, from licensing to health and safety protocols, was prepared and produced.
Hometown
As we stand before Foot Locker Nieuwendijk 202, every angle, every rack, every detail is a reflection of our commitment to this great client. In a country where Foot Locker has found its perfect European home, and in the city of Amsterdam where we found ours, this new store felt like homecoming.
